There is Hockey & You're Invited: London Vs. Erie

I know you are all still upset that there is no NHL action.  We should be talking lines and the next opponent, but we hear more and more about negotiations and who is right or wrong.  At least there are supposed to be negotiations this week.  How about some live hockey action to make it all go away?  This Saturday, October 6th the Erie Otters host the London Knights and you are all invited.  We would love to have a PensUniverse crowd in full effect during Faceoff Weekend at the Erie Insurance Arena.  The game starts at 7 pm and tickets are available here.  To add to the evening, there will be two Penguins prospects on the ice.

Maata at the Draft

The OHL season is young and this is a great time to see stars on the rise.  Penguins draft picks Olli Maata and Scott Harrington will feature on the blue line for the Knights.  Maata was the 22nd overall pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.  Harrington was the second round pick in 2011 for Pittsburgh.  Also on the Knights roster is Miles Liberati of Cheswick, PA and Max Domi, the son of Mario's pal Tie.

The Otters feature Connor McDavid who entered the OHL as a 15 year old and is considered an elite prospect.  TSN had camera crews at preseason games to watch McDavid and he recently scored his first OHL goal against London at their home opener. 

Lake Erie in the Fall

So spread the word and come and watch some highly touted young prospects in Erie this weekend.  If you need more reasons to come, the Otters host Brampton on Friday night featuring Blake Clark who attend Shattuck-St. Mary's Prep.  A school once attended by Sidney Crosby.  Tickets for Friday can be purchased here.
