New Opportunity: Wheeling Nailers Correspondent

Much like the ever expanding Universe we live in, we here at Pens Universe are following the same course of action, we're expanding too. We’ve grown from a single individual to a staff of 14 rabid Penguins hockey fans collaborating together in an effort to provide a great fan experience through original articles, pre/post game thoughts, player and media interviews, weekly columns, off-season updates, and even some statistical analysis. Let’s not forget the mini-store we opened up whereby we collaborated with players such as Matt Cooke and Eric Tangradi. We’re even starting a weekly podcast which will be downloadable through iTunes.

Last season we decided to add coverage/analysis of the WBS Penguins to keep a closer eye on some of the up-and-coming prospects. The success of this facet, in addition to our player interviews/participation has piqued our interest to cover a deeper as aspect of Pittsburgh Penguin organization. As a result, we’re looking for someone to be able to provide our readers with a weekly update on the Penguins ECHL affiliate, the Wheeling Nailers. To us it seems like a natural progression to seek to provide even more coverage for every hockey fan in association to the Pittsburgh Penguins. This is an exciting opportunity for any Wheeling Nailers fan who is looking for an outlet to express their writing creativity and keep those who typically follow the bigger clubs more informed.

Individual will be responsible for providing a weekly column that covers a high level overview of the teams progress throughout the 2010-11 season. Originals articles and further coverage are optional. Candidate should have some writing experience, blogging experience preferred.
