Tonight the Pens play host to the St. Louis Blues for the only time this season. The game will be broadcasted on VERSUS. Last year they met only once as well on November 1st and ended victorious with a score of 6 to 3. Miro Satan ended up the star of the game with a goal and two assists. This marks the return of Jay McKee against his former team of the Western Conference. Likewise Darryl Sydor of the Blues will return to his former team of last year before being traded to the Stars for Phillipe Boucher. And depending on how much the Pens light up Steve Mason, former Penguin Ty Conklin might actually see some time in net.
I anticipate an initial struggle for the Pens tonight. Much like the meeting with the Coyotes they don't face this team very often and could end up facing a more determined opponent. Despite Kariya getting off to a slow start this year, he has had 21 points in 15 games lifetime against the Penguins. Nevertheless it is my opinion that the Pens will continue their dominance and come out victorious.
PREDICTION: 4-1, in favor of the Pens.
